Holly resident Alex Weis admits he loves pop and drank far too much for far too long. Mountain Dew energy drinks were a daily choice.
A few months ago, Alex’s employer approached him and said he knew someone who could help him out with his sugar-infected teeth.
“I had chunks missing out of my front teeth because I was consuming a lot of pop and energy drinks every day,” Alex says. “I had nerves exposed in some other teeth, and a root canal that had gone bad. My teeth were in terrible condition. I never smiled; I didn’t want anyone to see how bad my teeth were.”
Alex decided to see Patrizia Scalia, DDS, the dentist his boss recommended.
“In less than 10 minutes, she knew exactly how she was going to fix my teeth,” Alex announces. “She was very confident. I was so impressed with her knowledge. She was determined to get me smiling again.”
When Alex came home after his appointment with the dentist, “I couldn’t stop talking about how great the experience was and how excited I was that she was going to take care of my teeth.”
One week later at his next appointment, Dr. Scalia replaced Alex’s four front teeth with temporaries, but “they sure felt like the real thing,” Alex smiles to show off his new teeth. She also needed to fill several cavities, redo a root canal, and manage an abscessed tooth.
“I’m so happy with her work and the results,” Alex loves to smile now and show off his new teeth. “She knows what she is doing, and she does not cut any corners. I already have an appointment scheduled for a teeth cleaning. She is about a 30 minute drive but she is well worth the trip. And, her office staff is great, too. When I walked in for the first time, they treated me like family. They work hard and are very dedicated.”
Alex notes that he no longer consumes monster drinks, and may have a pop once a week. Instead, water is his drink of choice.
“I would recommend Dr. Scalia to anyone,” Alex says. “In fact, when my 11-month old daughter is ready for the dentist, I’m taking her to Dr. Scalia.
